Proprioception is one of my favourite sensory systems.
Cause it’s just SO CRAZILY GOOD FOR YOU!
Whipping rainbow ribbons through the air, squeezing and stomping, cocooning yourself in a blanket, bear hugs, swinging, a massage, a swim, a dance, a run. All of these things (and so much more) give your brain proprioception, which it LOVES.
And keeping your whole brain happy is one of the first rules of brain care!
So making certain your children have access to props they can squeeze, stretch, whip, scrunch, pull, break, push etc. is an EXCELLENT way of keeping their little brains functioning at their very best as they face the challenges that go with developing.
