You may have noticed I go off grid for chunks of time, here and there, now and again.
We all need boundaries in this space, and when it feels too noisy I take my cue to jump out and do some social media distancing 😂👌🏼. Many of you are asking me to speak on managing anxiety and fear, and maybe I will, but for now I really don’t need to – it’s all we are hearing about. In every direction we turn.
And to even mention the words just perpetuates that such things even exist.
They are emotional experiences, nothing more, nothing less. They will flow through us, in and out.
But only if we fixate on them and give them the names ‘anxiety and fear’, and grab them so tight they can’t flow out of us, will they become our reality.
And when we believe an emotional experience to be true? Well, we get stuck.
I’m excited for this opportunity to pull back, reconnect with the lifestyle that our ancestors lived. Sustainable, resourceful and creative. To physically dip out of the rat race for a bit.
And I can’t say this enough times… .
This modern, hectic, western lifestyle we’re living?
It’s *not* the normal!!! It’s an outlier on the graph of what normal lifestyles look like.
It may be MY normal to have my coffee brewed for me in a cafe each day, but is that THE normal? When we look across the lifespan of humans and how they’ve lived? 😅
Our brains NEED to rest, to pull back, to stay home, to remember the old ways, to have some distance.
So let’s embrace this opportunity, I’m all for it.
I may even remember how to brew my own coffee ☺️. Xxx
